Formula for Determining Yield per Acre (Corn)

Use this formula to determine bu./A of No. 2 (15%) shelled corn:
(100 - harvest moisture) x (lbs. grain harvested) x (110.465) / (row length, ft.) / (row width, in.) / (no.rows harvested) = bu./A

Example: Six 30" rows 1,980 feet (120 rods) in length are harvested, yielding 6500 lbs. of shelled corn at 18.9% moisture: (100 - 18.9 = 81.1) x (6500) x (110.465) / (1,980) / (30) / (6) = 163.4 bu./A
